About me.
Emmie Tondina.
Creative, Marketing and Visual Merchandising.
I’m a self-employed, VM & Marketing specialist wanting to grow within an established business, permanently!
So far, my experience has been fashion retail-based, but finding myself without a job at the start of lockdown, I took my career into my own hands and started freelancing as a consultant.
I’ve used my previous experience to develop more skills in the past eight months than at any other stage in my career. Working with such a diverse client base has shown just how transferable my skills are.
I love meeting new people, bringing ideas to life, and getting stuck in, but it’s a scary world out there when you’re on your own...
I believe my skills make the most impact when I’m a part of a team, and I would love to be a part of yours!

Industry Skills.
Visual Merchandising.
I began my VM career with Pretty Green, using story-telling skills to develop visual merchandising strategies for their four London stores. I progressed quickly to a HQ role with Lee Jeans, where I was responsible for the VM strategy across all wholesale and retail business in the UK & EIRE, totalling 100+ doors.
Since becoming a freelance consultant, I have also worked on both long and short term VM contracts with Herschel Supply Co and Dashel Helmets.
Marketing.
In my years working at Lee Jeans on the sales and marketing team, I gained valuable insight into what makes a brand. I’m fascinated by the art of influence and love helping brands work out who their customer is and what makes them tick whilst still maintaining brand values and integrity.
I have a wealth of experience across marketing & branding social media, customer service strategies, in addition to VM.
Retail.
Whilst I love to get creative, I understand the purpose of any business is successful sales. I spent many years as a sales assistant and worked my way up, so I know what customers expect at all levels.
Digital or physical, retail is all about the user experience. The key to securing the sale is not only about effective and efficient story-telling but monitoring the success of your actions and adjusting accordingly.
Creative Design.
I developed an eye for visuals through art college and a degree and continue to hone my skills with every job I take on. Whatever I’m working on, I always take a purpose lead approach with the user experience at the heart of my workflow.
I’m confident in most Adobe CS apps. I have used them to build graphics, brand guidelines, interactive docs, pitch decks, physical POS, spatial curation and digital content to a high standard.
